The Polo Sant'Anna Valdera, in Pontedera, has a new, larger, more functional gatehouse, capable of responding increasingly better to the needs of the Institute of BioRobotics of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, which has its headquarters inside the building. The reception desk was inaugurated on Monday, July 18, during a ceremony attended by Rector Sabina Nuti, Vice Rector Arianna Menciassi, and Director of the BioRobotics Institute of the Sant'Anna School Christian Cipriani.

The opening of the gatehouse was also an opportunity to present BRIEF, the proposal coordinated by the Sant'Anna School for innovation infrastructure, as part of the PNRR. BRIEF is led by Sant'Anna School and has been funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for over EUR 24 million, of which more than EUR 15 million will be invested by Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in the Pisa and Pontedera structures.

The front office of the Polo Sant'Anna Valdera has benefited from an intervention to expand its space and renovate its systems. In fact, the works allowed a rationalization of the front office area, equipping it with new accessory rooms, and the alarm systems were also made more efficient. In addition, turnstiles were also installed to ensure safe access control.
